In support of DG Murray Trust’s commitments to develop South Africa’s potential, Primedia Outdoor has recently joined forces with the Western Cape-based foundation on a six-month campaign to generate a stronger demand for quality early learning and nutrition for young children. “Children are the source of human capital. If we want to change the education…
Primedia Outdoor is committed to the upliftment, security and development of South Africa and more specifically sustainable growth within communities that have a legacy of disadvantage.
We are a division of Primedia Pty Ltd, contributing to the well established social responsibility entities, Lead SA and CrimeLine.
Above and beyond that, we have partnered with Food & Trees for Africa, a giant in the environmental sector, having planted more than 4 million trees since 1990. We currently fund the planting of at least 100 trees a month as an ongoing effort to green our planet.
In consultation with local municipalities, we earmark schools in need of support, by way of stationery, books, uniforms and in some instances even basic items like water storage tanks. Where possible, staff members at Primedia Outdoor volunteer to assist with the delivery and distribution of whatever is needed by the schools in question.
To offset our carbon footprint we donate our used billboard material to companies like Waste to Wow who convert the tough fabric into corporate gifts ranging from laptop bags to portable braai covers.
In support of like-minded citizens, we have donated billboard faces to people who have taken innovation a step further by fabricating durable, weather-proof sleeping bags for the homeless in Cape Town.
Our overarching goal is to make a positive contribution to our country and by extension, the world.
